On the power end, connect a 12VDC power adapter to the female power jack, and the network connector to your router or switch. We recommend you don't use a PoE switch with this setup. You should be using a 12V DC 2amp Power adapter with these. The current output on the other end, depends on the gauge and whether your network wire is full copper or CCA. 3 Things to Know About Using a Power-over-Ethernet (PoE) IP Security Camera
